Hands are considered important portals that reveal invaluable insight

Chiromancy another name for Palmistry is the art of reading the physical features of the hand (the study of the palm lines) to interpret a person's personality and to foresee future events. While the origins of Palmistry are uncertain it is believed it may have begun in Ancient India, the home of the traditional fortune-telling of the Romany Gypsies and spread from there.

The Four Basic Hand Shapes: Each is connected with a different element and its associated traits. FIRE-long palm and short fingers. These hands commonly have distinctive creases and defined mounds; WATER-long palms and long fingers. These hands are normally soft to the touch, a bit clammy and in general have a narrow appearance; EARTH-square palms and short fingers. These hands are often firm, strong and chubby; and AIR-square palms and long bony fingers. These hands are often bony with bulging knuckles and frail fingers.
2. Palm Lines: One of the most well-known aspects of palm reading is the interpretation of the palm lines, also known as creases or folds. These provide important information about a person's destiny, life and relationships. The primary lines are the Lifeline, Heart Line, Fate Line, and Sun Line.
3. Mounts: These are the plump areas of the palm. The mounts reveal qualities and tendencies associated with various life subjects. They correspond to different planets within Astrology.  The seven key mounts are the Mount of Jupiter, Mount of Apollo, Mount of Luna, Mount of Saturn, Mount of Mercury Mount of Venus and the Mars region.
